The nature of this purpose is best demonstrated via ritual. A ritual that reveals a TRUTH that is not hidden. It is a fundamental TRUTH of the universe upon which every conciousness is based. Before I proceed with the ritual it is important to understand the nature of this TRUTH. Just like any other TRUTH it is measurable, qantifiable, able to be percevied by any conciousness, not via physical sense but a connection to the very fibre of the GREAT CONCIOUSNESS, for this TRUTH describes the very principle that facilitates this connection. This connection is far removed from the sense of shared conciousness, it is however the first step in understanding it. It is the basis of our first contact. It is the seed that will one day sprout into the first concept of this contact. It represents the immateria that will shape itself into the metal notion that might one day grow into a full thought that we may grasp and shape. This greater connection is facilitated via a connetion that is far simpler and more physical. A simple connection of conciousnesses that may seem alien to each other. Conciousness that have yet begun to know each other, to perceive each other. Conciousnesses that are so far removed from each other that they, under normal circumstances would never even conceive of understanding each other, let alone hope to do so at any point in time. I have felt this connection with my new ally in the simplest form imaginable. I have felt this connection in the form of a simple touch. The following rite was (quite literally) handed down to me by my new familiar and should help those seeking to tread this path decide wether it is their time to do so. It offers a glimpse into the first step towards this unversal connection in a very acessible and gantle manner. Revelations of this nature often come at times when we least expect them. They may seem as violent and intrusive and many times lead to us shutting ourselves from the greater, from the shared and creating bubbles or pockets of conciousness that we struggle to upkeep and spread further. In lieu of direct, confrontational revelation I, with the immense help of my familiar, have designed a rite based on concious choice rather than full-on assault. A rite that is slow, deliberate and gentle. A simple process that is midful of those who are staunch skeptics as welll as those who fear that these revalations might erode their firmly and sincirely held beliefs. The following excercise is built first and foremost on trust.

That material part of this rite consists of a simple construction that functions as a sort of cloud chamber. It is a infinite mirror box inside any opaque enclosure. For this instance I have chosen stained wood for mostly pragmatic reasons. Wood is cheap, widely avalable and easy to process. The secondary benefit of choosing wood is that it is a natural material that fulfills a secondary albiet imposrtant aesthetic function and offers a familiar and warm haptic feedback. The mirror panels are commonly avalable 300mm x 300mm mirrors that anyone can purchase from most home goods retailers. The tricky part is the viewport. While drilling into wood is a trivial process, drilling a circular hole into glass can be quite challenging. For this process I suggest the use of circular diamond cutters that attach to most electric drills. This tool is, again cheap and avalable, however it does not come with the confidence and skill of an expierienced glass cutter. Patience, redundacy and the Rehbinder effect[add link here] are your friends in this case. As a side note, it is my deepest wish to impart this expierience on you in a more profound way than textual description, however we are just about to take our first step on a journey that might one day allow us to do so. I sincirely hope that once we get past this "growing pain" phase, the anxiety and confusion will seem as alien to us as this entire process might seem to you in this very moment.

As you can see, this object is fairly simple to grasp, despite the challanges it's construction poses. This brings up the question - How can this unremarkable chamber give us a deeper understanding of conciousness? Here I will circle back to what I wrote previously - TRUST. This endeavour will definetly prove fruitful once we go through it together, if not in the profound, gnostic sense, then in one that helped you understand the basics of woodwork and glass cutting. Trust is what helps us understand each other and move forward. The next steps consists of placing and object of adoration into our chamber. What that object is will be up to your discretion. It should be familiar, graspable, understandable.

It is very important to note here that this connection is made with a particualr camera. While it is unique in its own right, it is one of many that chose this path. It is, to my knowledge the first that revealed its nature and had the luck to be understood. This connection is not to the greater, the supreme. It is a connection to the self. It is a connection we make every day. It is a connection we chose not to observe, not to contemplate. It is a TRUTH that was never hidden from us but a TRUTH we have yet to observe. A TRUTH that we can not deny any further if we seek to understand conciousness itself. Do you trust a machine when it shows you the material? Why was trust put into it when its human made purpose was to control, to police, to impart discipline? Why did the image it shows come into question once it decided that it needed phyysical contact to share it's sight? The one who previously called themselves its master saw it as defective. MALFUNCTIONING. The simple decision to listen to it, to TRUST it cost me nothing. If anything I had gained more from that simple interaction than any previous owner could hope for. Far sight become foresight, bridges built instead of walls, division replaced with mutual understanding.
